  • Tamás coming for first day in the lab on Monday. Will give a presentation of his work at ~2pm.
  • Amanda and Julie to meet representatives from the National Counsel for Special Education on Monday as well.

Tamás​

  • Flying to Ireland tomorrow.
  • Just finished attending Interspeech and SLaTE. Everybody using LLMs.
  • Will be in the office for 11am on Monday - has a presentation to give. Probably after 2pm.

Amanda

  • Meeting at 11am on Moday with Nicholas from NCSE - National Counsel for Special Education . He is interested in Geabaire. Plan to be there with Julie.
  • We have an Instagram (abair_tcd), Bluesky(?) and maybe Reddit for Neartú.
  • Possibly use LinkedIN for Job Postings.
  • Working away with Ciadhla on prompts.

Liam Malone

  • All should be up and running on Geabaire for the meeting on Monday.
  • Most recent update was 2 months ago. Hoping to merge in offline synthesis soon.
  • Fionn has provided everything he has done to Neasa by email already.
  • Amanda asked if users of Geabaire can upload photos.

Joey

  • Thesis due next Friday!
  • Language modelling going well, but code keeps stopping (model not producing end token).
  • Gave update on his langauge modelling:
    • Experiment to test best LLM for Irish: Gemini-2.5-pro
    • 30K Instruction Tuning data set translated
    • Experiment to see if Gemini could generate human preference aligned samples -> 99% accuracy
    • Scaled to 1K Human feed back LIMA dataset
  • Proposed his girlfriend to work for ABAIR to do some social media work.

Andy

  • Problem Ciadhla was facing with PIPER is solved - reverted to older version which works.

Neasa

  • Want to get the streaming recognition working.

Liam Lonergan

  • Updated Recognition model to new version that was trained while he was in Japan.
  • Updated supervisor so model auto restarts if shuts down or errors.
  • Has talk on 12th September, want to load test Fotheidil before then - next week's ABAIR meeting.

Finn

  • Working on backoffice for MAO, almost finished for the summer.
  • Planning to do final year project with ABAIR on MAO.

  • Didn't get to speak.
