Highlights

  • Andy and Ronan in Mayo for recordings.
  • Thomas coming from Finland at beginning of September to work with us for 3 months.
  • Amanda to send out a survey about Oireachtas attendance.

Amanda

  • Working on Transtool - 1600 prompts.
  • Found more prompts from another story.
  • Asked about plan for the Oireachtas, fibín and accomodation. Andy said no plans made yet. Will get the ball rolling.

Joey

  • Setting up an experiment. Training model to predict next token. However, now want to train a model to take instructions.
  • Need to select best LLM to generate lots of sentences from real data (Oireachtas).
  • Experiment 1: Narrow down choice of models from 400 to 10.
  • Experiment 2: Get these 10 to generate and get human feedback. Aela will help.
  • Starting to write thesis, only 3 weeks left.

Andy

  • In Mayo on Monday setting up for Rónan.
  • Got quote for NAS. £3400. Delivery next week.
  • Coordinating between van builders and dealers - making progress. Going to provide the van chassis before body builders are ready -this is good!
  • Chassis to be delivered in 8-9 weeks.
  • Body builders will start in new year, will take 8-10 weeks.
  • Training Munster voices.

John

  • Ailbhe mentioned in meeting on Tuesday that website not priority at the moment - no hard deadline for the Oireachtas.
  • Back working on Fotheidil with Oscar for demonstration in September. Lot's of issues to fix on front and back end.

Ronan

  • Gathered 2 to 2.5 hours of recordings per day since Mon. Finishing Fri.
  • 1250 prompst done, hoping to hit 1500 mark.
  • Can go down again if can access a car.
  • Met plenty of people who are interested in helping with recordings.

Ciadhla

  • Trying to train the children's voices using current data.
  • Using uodated version of PIPER.
  • Making progress.
