Background:
Joseph is a recent graduate of Computer Science and Language at Trinity College Dublin. He is currently doing an MSc in Artificial Intelligence at Queen's University Belfast. He is working full time in the development of LLMs for Irish.

  • LLM

    • Developing a bilingual Irish-English LLM.
    • Continuing pre-training of Qwen-1.7B with monolingual (Ga/En) and parallel (Ga&En) corpora.
    • Researching data synthesis with Human-in-the-Loop for direct preference optimisation.

  • Speech Recognition

    • Generated a synthetic data set to improve the synthesis system for placenames.
